3pm: Holding Space: Lessons I’ve Learnt from my Years as a Professional Dominatrix

Taking the reins in a scene is complicated stuff. Oftentimes, the body is willing but being a good dominant is so much more than just physically overpowering someone else. As a pint-sized professional dominatrix physically incapable of overpowering most people, I should know!

It’s often said that arousal starts between the ears before it occurs between the thighs, but how?

• How do you hold space as a dominant, such that you fill the room with presence and demeanor?
• What tools can you use to tip the power in your favour?
• How can you use your environment to take your scene to new heights?

• identify everyday objects that can be perverted for play, and also the basics tools they should invest in.

While we hear many people ask how they can be better dominants, it isn’t often that we hear a submissive enquire after better submission. In fact, it often seems like submitting is easy! All you have to do is take what you’re given and do what you’re told, right? No!

The role of the submissive is a complex one! Good submissives are self-aware and know what they are worth, and as a result, are able to create great experiences for both themselves and their dominants.
